Direct Throttle Setup
When using our #3637 Direct Throttle Drive, here is the recommended setup:
Set throttle servo travel to 50% low and 100% high.
Assemble throttle cable set so that the servo end has the set screw accessible (facing up).
Turn on the radio. Throttle at idle, trim in the middle.
Loosen set screw at servo.
Use pliers to twist the cable, at the servo, until the throttle is at idle. Normally about 1/4 throttle.
While holding this setting, tighten the set screw. You may have to do this more than once to get the idle setting correct.
Adjust the low so that the throttle just closes.
Adjust the high so that the throttle stop is almost touching.
We end up with something like 110% high and 38% low. Yours will differ.
The key is to pre-load the cable for idle.
